Overview

Campaigns Manager (Liberation) Politics and power is changing. And so are we. We’re looking for an experienced campaigner with a track record of winning and innovating. Working with elected student leaders, you’ll play a key role in the reinvention of NUS’ campaigning practice. You’ll have the skill and drive to develop campaigns that have a wide and influential reach. You’ll be able to develop engaging digital and press content. You’ll have the experience to build the movement by organizing students on the ground. And you’ll be able to identify the problems and the transformational solutions that we’re fighting for. What’s the job? This is a role managing NUS’ campaigning, press, communications and influencing across our liberation work. Liberation in NUS is focused on ending the oppression of Black students, LGBT students, trans students, disabled students and women. You’ll be working with partners across education, liberation and beyond. Our priorities are set by students via our democracy. Often we’ll be a decade ahead of the curve on liberation matters so prepare to push the envelope on concepts that are often new and challenging. Why Apply? Location: This role is available primarily at our headquarters in Macclesfield. We’ll also consider applicants wishing to work out of our other offices in Edinburgh or Cardiff as well as home workers. Salary: £34,949 to £38,692 Job Type: Full Time, Permanent, 35 hours a week.
