Overview
Our client, a well known face on the UK High Street with their HQ in Marlow, is looking to recruit a Stock Merchandising Planner, to cover maternity on an initial 12 month contract. The successful candidate will have an advanced knowledge/experience of Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPS) and a proven retail background ideally with an element of stock management or merchandising experience. Duties - To be pivotal in driving the category strategy with the Category Manager including planning, stock management, stock turn, markdown and profit - To manage Open-to-Buy at category level using the WSSI and key line information - Manage stock levels to keep within budgeted levels, by effective range planning and markdown control - Consistently manage the supply base, monitoring requirement and intake, and to work closely with suppliers to minimise lead times, create flexibility and maximise availability - Drive in stock availability and manage branch replenishment and stock profiles - Improve accuracy of both sales and intake forecasts - Review and maintain order book to match intake forecasts - Maintain stock at optimum levels via re-buys, intake phasing and replenish stores - Assist in developing range plans and provide analysis of range and product performance Skill/Experience - Advanced Excel - Stock management and/or merchandising experience - Strong knowledge of retail - Analyical - Team player - Able to work in fast paced environment Please note that we will only contact those candidates that we assess as suitable for the positions we have currently available based on their experience, training and skills.
