Overview

We have a great opportunity based at our Bedfordshire campuses for a Centre Administrator to become a key member of our Centre Administration department. As a Centre Administrator you will play a pivotal role in the success of our students through: Providing a professional administrative and support service to the appropriate Department(s) as assigned. Providing cover to departments that are without a Centre Administrator due to holiday, sickness etc. therefore a flexible approach to work and a willingness to travel to and work at all locations where we provide a service is essential. Assisting the department(s) with a varied range of customer service and administrative activities and to implement Service Standards effectively. Our ideal candidates will have experience of working effectively in an office based environment and will have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, alongside the following qualifications: Good general education to include English at GCSE grade A- C or equivalent. ITQ Level 2 (IT qualification) or ECDL Level 2 (European Computing Driving Licence) or RSA II (OCR) Word Processing or equivalent Level 2 in Maths/Numeracy (GCSE or equivalent) or willingness to achieve Numeracy Level 2. Contract Type –Bedford College Professional Services Ltd (BCPS Ltd) 20 hours per week (0.3497 FTE) / 36 weeks per year 25 days holiday per annum, pro rata An Enhanced DBS check will be required and you will be required to declare any convictions, cautions, reprimands or final warnings, which would not be filtered in line with current guidance. Due to the college being closed, Interviews will be held via Skype, more information on Skype interviews will be discussed at interview stage. We anticipate a start date of September 2020, however circumstances within the college may change and we reserve the right to adjust your start date accordingly with college demand.
