Overview

Business Development Manager Are you experienced in building new, succesfull business relationships? Do you have the ability to source your own leads and follow them all the way through to completion? Do you have a degree or strong academic background? If so this could be the perfect role for you This is what you'll be doing The business development executive will form part of the team which is responsible for the delivery of the sales development activity of the company in relation to client prospecting, lead generation, and the securing of new business. A major element of the role is the focus on external clients and new sector identification - in terms of securing new business with new accounts and the professional account handling of existing customers, leveraging their needs to generate further business. The individual will play a significant role in contributing to the overall revenues and profitability of the company and the development and implementation of the ongoing sales strategy and order winning process. Key Responsibilities: Report to Directors on sales performance & strategy Budgeting/Financial Forecasting Identify new business opportunities Generate sales leads and follow ups Win new orders from existing / new customers. Help formulate/implement the sales strategy for the company Assist with marketing, PR, promo initiatives Reporting of forecast and actual sales v business plans on a monthly basis Ensure long term expansion of business through market opportunity Develop contacts and long term relationships with networks, agencies etc Identify and develop new market opportunities and the need for new product offering Monitor, report and counter competitor activity Assist in resolution of financial, commercial and company issues as appropriate e.g. product, service, quality, etc Manages the relationship with key business contacts ensuring total fulfilment of all training needs Writing proposals for clients Working as part of the sales team Represent the Company at networking events and business functions The experience you'll bring to the team The ideal candidate will have broad based sales and selling experience, preferably ( but not essential) from the sector or a related industry. Experience in solutions selling in a customer facing environment within the UK Ability to develop, influence and implement a focused sales business strategy Ability to win new business and secure new orders Experience of hands on account management Strong negotiation skills and Commercial knowledge Experience of working in and with the business to business sectors Ability to advise and influence people without direct authority or reporting lines Good people management skills Strong motivational abilities A persuasive and sales oriented manner Good communication skills Excellent team player and builder of relationships both internally and externally Ambitious to succeed and Results focused Financially and commercially astute High energy and enthusiasm levels This is what you'll get in return Basic salary : £28k to £32k plus bonus scheme Notice Period : 3 months either party Annual Leave : 25 days statutory holidays Health Plan : Yes Pension: Membership of Company Personal Pension Plan Car : Mileage allowance Lieu Time : Lieu given for agreed overtime Bonus: Performance related Are you up to the challenge?
