Overview
Press & Media Officer (Ref SUS2882) £27,255 annum 37.5 hours per week – based in central Bristol Sustrans has a vision of a world in which people choose to travel in ways that benefit their health and our environment. This role will play a key part in helping us to achieve that by pitching winning ideas to national media and securing a high volume of positive media coverage about our work. Your ability to spot and sell-in a good story and to deliver successful media and communications campaigns across all platforms will help us achieve our strategic aims and raise our profile. We’re looking for someone who is highly motivated with excellent communication skills, strong writing skills, experience in B2C PR and a proven ability to influence internally. Educated to degree level or equivalent, you will have an excellent understanding of how the media works, a strong news sense and experience of using creative PR techniques. With a proven track record of building relationships with journalists, commentators and bloggers and producing inspiring copy, media statements, opinion pieces and blogs, you will generate great coverage for us in print, broadcast and digital media.
