Business Development Manager

We are working with a client in Barnstaple who are looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team. As this is a new position within the company, this will be a ongoing temporary role with the view to go permanent for the right candidate. Hourly rate to be discussed and dependant on experience. This role will include looking after existing accounts and pushing all aspects of the business development. You will be based in Barnstaple and covering all clients based in Devon and Cornwall. The Role: Partially a field-based business development and account management role: - Previous experience in the transport/logistics industry is essential as knowledge in this industry and will be needed when speaking to clients. Ideal Candidate: - Presentable - Ambitious- Hardworking- Comfortable in a B2B role - Good Telephone Manner - Driving Licence and telephone essential. More about the role: Selling the full transport package to business and customers of various sizes Experience of managing customer relationships Managing customer accounts and visiting clients Prospecting for new business around Devon and Cornwall Maintaining customer records and ensuring follow-ups are completed Ensuring all sales are fully compliant Providing high levels of customer service Knowledge of sales process KPI management More about you: Previous Business to Business Transport and Logistic sales experience essential Process driven with the ability to adapt to new sales processes Team player Excellent communicator both written and verbal 'Can do' attitude Goal orientated Must hold a valid driving licence This role is 40hrs a week Monday-Friday and use of a company car for all travel.
