Overview

We are currently working with a market leading furniture business who are embarking on a phase of growth and currently looking for a Business Development Manager to join their sales team. The Role This will be a pro-active sales role and you will be focused on building relationships with their customers which includes Architects, Designers and Developers. The sales team is full of commercially minded professionals who have an entrepreneurial spirit and a strong track record in sales. You need to be someone who aims high, but also is prepared to work hard in order to achieve and exceed both personal as well as company targets. The key responsibilities for the Business Development Manager role will involve: Meeting with prospective clients and presenting the company products and services. Maintaining strong relationships as a brand ambassador with existing customers. Ensure pipeline reports are kept up to date, with an accurate forecast to track the progress throughout the sales process. Being responsible for the end to end sales cycle and providing clients with the highest levels of customer service throughout the process. Handling samples and hosting product demonstrations and training with customers To maintain a continuous network with customers - developers, architects and designers. The ideal candidate for the Business Development Manager will have the following background: Must have proven experience within the high-end furniture and/or luxury interiors industry. A strong network with developers and across the A&D community, with tangible contacts and good relationships that you can build on in this role. Experience working on residential and commercial projects. A strong and engaging personality - you must be pro-active, outgoing and a confident relationship builder. An appetite for new business development and experience with account management A self-starter with energy and enthusiasm to work in a fast-growing business Very strong commercial acumen.
