Overview

Do you have experience of working in a health care, education, social care or voluntary sector setting and are looking for your next challenge? Our client, is a voluntary organisation, registered charity and network partner of the Carers Trust, supporting informal carers countywide. They are looking to appoint a Group Worker and a Young Carer Worker. As a Group Worker, you will join their National Lottery Community Fund team of Carers Group Workers. You will establish and run group activities for unpaid carers. In addition you will recruit and develop volunteer Carer Champions. You need to have an understanding of carers needs and issues as well as previous experience of delivering group based support. You will have previous experience of working knowledge of the health, social care and voluntary sectors. Above all you will have an engaging personality and be an excellent communicator who also has strong organisational skills. This position is a Fixed Term contract until 25th May 2021. As a Young Carer Worker, you will work with young carers aged 5-16yrs providing a confidential service, Identifying and working with Young Carers and their families to assess and provide appropriate support. You must have experience of working and relating to young people, an understanding of Young Carers needs and working knowledge/experience in understanding Health, Social Care, Education and or Voluntary Sector. The ability to drive and have use of a car is essential. Both positions are 18.5 hrs per week, with a salary of £10,380 PA (full time equivalent salary of £20,760 PA; £10.79p/hr).
