Overview

This is an overview of the role: The Help to Buy scheme seeks to stimulate demand for new homes by improving affordability. This contributes towards Homes England's delivery of 300,000 new houses per year and delivers the strategic objective of effectively delivering home ownership products and providing an industry standard service to consumers. The Developer Services team is responsible for management and oversight of the developer journey within the scheme from first contact with new developers to the legal completion of contracts and ongoing contract management of Help to Buy house builders. This role will support the Senior Developer Contract Managers in all aspects performance and reputation management, forecast control, change requests processing and approvals. The preparation and analysis of developer performance data is a key function of this role as well as establishing and maintaining excellent relationships with Help to Buy developer to drive improvements in programme delivery. With the team’s end to end developer journey responsibility, the role holder is responsible for supporting the team to delivering fair outcomes and industry standard service in a culture of continuous improvement to ensure that both good and bad outcomes are identified learned from and that appropriate changes are embedded into BAU. The successful person will be responsible for: • Working closely with Developer Services team to manage the process of administering the forecast approvals, change requests and ensuring processes are followed in line with governance and to agreed timescales. • Supporting Senior Managers to review and prepare developer feedback and other data to identify operational improvement in the programme and in regular 1:1 contract review meetings. Manage the approach to programme delivery, compliance, contractual breach situations. • Support the Developer Services team to design and implement the ongoing contract management process for developers to draw together intelligence from the wider Help to Buy Team and Homes England to inform our engagement with developers. • Working with Senior Managers in Developer Services to develop and maintaining productive working and contractual relationships (as applicable) with developers and industry bodies (e.g. HBF) to gain insight into Help to Buy delivery and improve existing processes as applicable. • Managing processes to ensure developer forecasts are routinely assessed and challenged to ensure they remain up to date and accurately reflect developer expectations for delivery. In order to complete the responsibilities for this role, the successful candidate will have: • Experience and ability to operate effectively in a fast paced and dynamic environment to manage effective delivery of this high profile programme. • Experience in robustly controlled environments and contract management of a range of third-parties. • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
