Job Description

We are looking for people to join our Invigilation Team to ensure all internal and statutory examinations are conducted in accordance with JCQ regulations and College policy. Successful applicants will start by working alongside other invigilators, and after this will have the opportunity to lead an exam room. Key duties/responsibilities of a Invigilator to include; * To assist setting up examination rooms by laying out papers and materials required * To help pupils by advising them about possessions and directing them to their seats at the start of exams * To ensure that pupils do not leave the hall until the end of the exam * Escort pupils from venues during exams and supervising whilst out of the examination room * At the end of exams collect scripts making sure that they have been filled in correctly * You will be confident, have a strong sense of self awareness, be a good team player but can also work on your own initiative. You will have a flexible approach to work, be accurate and have good attention to detail. Key experience essential for the role of Invigilator; * Previous experience of invigilation would be an advantage although full training will be provided. This training is compulsory and must be attended before invigilation can commence. * You must be able to work at least 3 days each week throughout the examination period, although there is some flexibility to accommodate pre-booked holidays * If you are organised, reliable, a methodical thinker, have great attention to detail and enjoy working with teenagers, this could be the role for you.
