Overview

This company is looking to recruit a crypto technician / security analyst. The Cryptography Technician will be responsible for assisting in the management of cryptographic keys, Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) and associated system infrastructure necessary to ensure information confidentiality, integrity and availability. The ideal candidate will provide non-technical and technical support for key management processes, analysis and problem resolution to support ongoing delivery of services and or operations. All aspects of this job require a high level of confidentiality and integrity. RESPONSIBILITIES - Assist and support in the development of cryptographic strategies, policies, standards, procedures and best practices. - Provide security, cryptography and key management guidance to company personnel. - Consultation with business and IT teams on cryptographic technologies and requirements. - Assist in the design, implementation and management of cryptographic systems. - Provide support in the evaluation of security controls, data protection requirements, encryption schemes and vendor solutions. - Develop and maintain technical system, documentation, as well as, the guidelines, processes and procedures for using and managing such cryptographic systems and procedures. - Evaluation of the security posture of encryption processing equipment and determine appropriate security configurations based on functional and processing requirements while minimizing risks. - Perform full lifecycle management of all encryption processing equipment, including purchasing, deploying, monitoring, troubleshooting, upgrading and de-commissioning. - Work with vendors to better leverage and improve the functional capabilities of supported systems and tools. - Resolving information security, encryption and key management related issues by weighing business needs, security risk and both short and long term remediation capabilities. - Support in the implementation of Cryptographic solutions for projects and new services. - Assist in key management processes including key generation, key distribution, key destruction and key loading. Required to travel when needed to POP sites in the UK, Europe and US to troubleshoot, configure and load keys. Must Be able to work within a Team and as an individual. Must be able to resolve issues onsite in a timely manner to maintain Service uptime. Must be able to follow processes and procedures. Skills and Experience Required: 1-3 years or more years’ experience in each of the following: - Knowledge of cryptographic techniques, protocols, encryption methodologies, and key life cycle requirements - Working knowledge of encryption processing equipment, including Hardware Security Modules(HSM) from SafeNet and Thales - Knowledge of the standards and regulations applicable to cryptography, key management and the payments industry, i.e ISO, PCI, FIPS, PKCS, LINK, Visa Pin
