Overview
A leading second hand jewellery retailer in Kent is looking for a Jewellery Refurbishment & Disposition Operative to join their team As Jewellery Refurbishment & Disposition Operative, your role will be to sort and quality check a large range of second hand, high end jewellery and watches in to scrap or saleable goods. This role will suit someone with a good knowledge of jewellery, who has perhaps already gained experience selling and/or repairing full price or second hand jewellery. You will have a good knowledge of high-end jewellery, and be confident in your decision making - you will ultimately decide if the jewellery is re-sellable or ready for scrap Your role will involve: Receiving and sorting stock in to scrap or saleable goods from stores or outside suppliers Completing various quality checks on goods and making a decision on whether its re-sellable or ready for scrap Cleaning jewellery and/or watches to an acceptable standard, ensuring it is in a re-sellable condition Transferring stock out to the stores upon instruction from the Merchandisers Controlling and updating an inventory of goods kept in stock keeping an accurate record to ensure accurate audits Maintaining accurate records of goods in and out via Excel, in order to keep on top of stock levels for the benefit of the Merchandisers Any other duties as required by the line Manager The ideal candidate: Confident in working on your own and as part of team Good customer service skills Commercially minded A good knowledge of jewellery experience in sales and/or repairs ideal Accurate and organised Computer literate, able to use Microsoft Office including Excel What's in it for you?
