Overview
This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join a leading manufacturer of gas analysis and detection equipment focused on industrial processes and mobile systems for environmental professionals. They are a trusted supplier to household names who need high quality, reliable, cost-effective gas analysis and detection for their important projects. Example applications: for fixed systems are industrial processes such as biogas generation from sewage or feedstock, energy from waste and gasification, for mobile they have site investigation and monitoring. They punch above their weight based on great products, highly tailored for specific applications and by listening to customers, delivering their project and providing long-term product support. The Role This role is highly technical as you will head up the development of their products. If you’ve experienced the responsibility of leading product development you will understand the challenges of covering all the disciplines required to deliver winning solutions. The usual points apply: - Excellent technical knowledge in core areas: gas analysis, electro-mechanical product design and software development. -The team building skills to lead a high performing team of talented individuals. - Knowing when and how to engage with supply chain partners and specialist technology resources to supplement the in-house skills. - Reporting to the MD on all aspects of Product Development. The role is based in their Coventry head office. The Candidate To succeed in this role you're likely to be highly motivated by the challenge of having complete technical ownership of a product range and a seat at the top table of the business. Your CV will need to show: - An exceptional individual experienced in leading product development, used to working with small teams focused on delivery. - Significant relevant experience in gas analysis and product development. - First degree or higher degree in an appropriate science or engineering discipline. - Proven ability to see Product Development as part of the 360Lifecycle of the product and able to support the wider business - sales, production and technical support. - Strong team building skills.
