Work for Shelter as a full time door to door fundraiser and help eliminate bad housing and homelessness in the UK Role: Door to Door Fundraiser Salary: £9-£12 per hour Hours: Full time - Monday to Friday 1:30pm-8pm We are looking for passionate, dynamic and driven individuals who are passionate about social change to represent Shelter - the UK’s largest housing and homelessness charity. Full time hours guaranteed - not a zero hour contract Monday to Friday, 2pm-9pm £9 - £12 per hour - NOT a commission-based role Travel allowance Immediate Start Full training included, no experience required Fully paid training Job description Shelter helps millions of people every year struggling with bad housing or homelessness through their advice, support and legal services. They campaign to make sure that, one day, no one will have to turn to them for help. As a door to door fundraiser, you will work in teams of 3-5 people. By knocking on people’s front doors in different residential areas every day, you will explain the importance of Shelter’s vital work and inspire the public to support the charities work with a regular financial gift. A fundraising/sales role at Shelter not only defends the most vulnerable within society but also equips successful applicants with skills needed for various roles in multiple sector’s moving forward. The Ideal Candidate Successful applicants will be confident communicators with great interpersonal skills, who enjoy working outside as part of a lively team. They will be an advocate of human rights, who is keen to campaign for social change They will be an activist at heart and keen to make a real difference. The role is ideal for a recent politics, sociology, international development or social sciences graduate looking for their first charity sector/entry level role.Likewise it would suit someone looking for a fulfilling career change, or simply looking for a fun and rewarding job in which to grow their charity career.
