Electrical Project Engineer (Water and Wastewater Sector) Leicester base - UK wide travel c£40k - £46k neg dep exp + generous benefits + company vehicle Our client has been established for almost a decade and specialise in the provision of wastewater solutions from design through to delivery with both municipal and industrial clients across the UK, and as a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, are now seeking to recruit an articulate, enthusiastic and experienced Electrical Project Engineer to complement their highly professional team. The successful candidate will be tasked with a range of project management and procurement activities encompassing all electrical, civil and mechanical parts of the projects on site, as well as for the management of suppliers and sub-contractors both on and off site and for Financial management to ensure on time-within budget successful project delivery. Whilst the Electrical Project Engineer role is based in prestigious offices near Leicester, you will essentially hold a full clean UK driving licence as there will be occasional trips to project sites as required, and a vehicle is provided for this purpose. You will develop and maintain a project installation programme using EXCEL or MS Project and will undertake site commissioning and client sign off activities as required and the completion of associated documentation, as well as preparing internal monthly project reports and maintaining an accurate site diary and for attending all site meetings and recording minutes of the meetings accordingly. You will be skilled in interpreting drawings for fabrication and installation with approved subcontractors and will assist in maintaining the company QMS system, and in accordance with relevant industry and Health and Safety legislation, will prepare detailed method statements and risk assessments as necessary and have the up to date appropriate health and safety training certificates. Other duties will include (but not be limited to) building strong relationships with customers and suppliers and working closely with the in-house design engineering team, identifying variations where necessary and providing weekly progress reports on all projects to the Company Directors. You will formulate operations and maintenance manuals with the in-house engineering teams and provide support in tender preparation on installations costs as required, whilst maintaining up to date Management Cards and Health and Safety certificates and providing operator training as necessary. To be considered for this varied and challenging Electrical Project Engineer role within an environment committed to delivering the highest standards of service and customer satisfaction, it is envisaged that the successful candidate will ideally be Degree qualified in an Electrical or Environmental Engineering discipline and demonstrate at least 3 years' experience of working within the Wastewater industry. You will demonstrate exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal) at all levels and be able to build solid relationships with both internal and external customers as necessary. You will be self-motivated, hard-working and reliable with good attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills - and essentially flexible to travel and stay away from home as required.
