Overview
WHAT WE WANT UTOPICODE is currently looking for a specialist that is responsible for screening software developers on a technical level to meet the technical requirements of London’s tech companies. This profile would design and apply programming tests and tasks to validate the technical level of developers and ensure their seniority level. ABOUT THE COMPANY UTOPICODE is the platform that will transform the way remote tech talent is recruited. We want to be the first option for companies that wish to recruit remote and skilled tech talent from the LATAM region. UTOPICODE is an early-stage start-up and the founding team is currently developing the Minimum Viable Product to achieve product- market fit. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Design and perform live programming tests to evaluate fundamental computer science skills (i.e. data structures, algorithms etc.), software craftsmanship (i.e. understanding of unit testing, source control, APIs etc.), and/or specific technologies (i.e. iOS, distributed systems etc.) Prepare task briefs for coding tests that show real challenges and practical problems that they would encounter in a company. Observe the candidate’s logic, their ability to explain what they are doing, how they think and their ability to code under pressure. Revise and screen developer’s repositories in their IDE’s (Integrated Development Environment)- GitHub, Google, Stack Overflow. Perform pre-screening calls to analyse the developers’ technical knowledge and minutia. Test different technical assessment platforms to analyse its integration to UTOPICODE’s recruiting tools. Create and monitor the performance metrics of each candidate at a technical level. Iterate technical assessments based on experience, developers feedback and customer’s needs. OFFER This position is paid by candidate’s examination. This is a remote position with flexible office hours. A cool workspace is provided at Google for Startups campus/ East London. REQUIREMENTS Experienced full-stack developer. Experience in designing and applying pre-screening tests for engineering teams. Great communication skills. Ability to empathize with candidates and provide feedback. Flexibility and adaptability to changes implied in an early stage start-up environment.
