This rewarding role will enable you to make a significant contribution to the effective delivery of the curriculum, in line with the College's Quality Improvement Strategy and to ensure a high quality and relevant learning experience for all students engaged in this area. In addition to this you should have the motivation and aptitude to expand the offer and develop an exciting range of additional courses and commercial opportunities. You will be required to plan and deliver outstanding teaching, learning and assessment in line with our required standards to a range of learners. This will consist of delivery in both classroom and workshop environments to students on full time study programmes and apprenticeships. In addition to this, you will assess students in accordance with the requirements of the programme, and will be responsible for developing programmes, ensuring they meet the needs of learners, employers and in line with Awarding Body and Quality Assurance requirements. The qualifications deemed essential for this post are a Level 3 (NVQ or equivalent) or above in subject specific area, minimum of Level 2 qualification in literacy and numeracy (e.g. GCSE English and Maths at grade A-C), and a level 5 Teaching Qualification or willingness to undertake within an agreed timescale.
