Overview
Salary: c. £32,000 dependent on experience Hours: Full-time or substantial part-time (at least 80%) Duration: Fixed-term to 31 December 2020 with expectation of extension Location: Normal place of work is the UK-Med office / UK-Med Warehouse in Greater Manchester. It will be necessary to spend significant periods at UK EMT warehouse facilities for stock management activities, currently based in Gloucestershire. Deployment: This is a deployable role. You will be on-call for deployment as a medical logistician with deployed UK-Med/UK EMT teams UK-Med provides emergency healthcare support in times of crisis and humanitarian emergencies. Since we formed as a charity in 1995, we have responded in a wide variety of humanitarian emergency settings. We work with other agencies to coordinate the UK Emergency Medical Team (UK EMT) – a national programme deploying healthcare services to sudden onset disasters on behalf of the UK Government and working to WHO standards – as well as deploying independently or in collaboration with other humanitarian NGOs.
