Overview

We are Continuum Industries, a seed-stage startup developing tools for engineers to create better infrastructure. Our tools help to design infrastructure such as railways, roads, pipelines or power lines. At the end of the day, our product helps to get clean water from its source to your hot shower, packets of data from a data centre to your computer and electricity from a wind farm to your light bulb. We were founded in June 2018 with initial angel funding from Skyscanner's Gareth Williams. Since then, we have closed our first big enterprise customers and we're now gearing up to openly launch our product to the world, but we can't cope with the work on our own. To accomplish this, we just raised a £1.5M seed investment round from Credo Ventures and Playfair Capital. With this funding, we're offering you employment certainty in the tricky times of the ongoing recession. Currently, we're a crew of ten and we're looking to expand our engineering and product team to develop and launch the fully standalone version of our optimisation engine.   OVERVIEW: Looking for a senior full-stack engineer to lead a team developing Continuum Industries’ user interface from the very early stages.   You would join and lead a small but growing team of developers and designers that are working on creating a user interface for Continuum Industries’ optimisation engine. This is a technical role and the intent is that it will transition into a senior leadership position with time. The role will involve close work with our developers, a product architect, UX designer and customers to design and build the interface.   LOCATION: CodeBase in Central Edinburgh with opportunities to move to London if of interest in the future. Like many companies these days, our entire team is currently (March 2020) working from home. We have already onboarded new team members in this setting and expect that you would also start your Continuum journey in this set-up.
