Overview
Our client is a leading manufacturer within their field. They offer some of the most innovative and well known adapted commercial vehicles in their industry space. Their range includes both light and heavy commercial vehicle chassis converted for transportation purposes. As part of their ongoing growth, they are currently looking for a Field Sales Manager who will have ultimate accountability for driving sales in the region from Birmingham upwards. The role will include responsibility for: New Business Development - prospecting and networking to identify opportunities to pitch and present their solutions to new customers in the vehicle transportation and recovery industries. Account Management - maintaining and upselling within their existing customer base in the region. Helping customers to specify their vehicles to ensure that they receive the products to their requirements and fit for purpose. Reporting on activity, sales pipelines and realised numbers within your territory. Look for opportunities to sell after-sales maintenance and service packages. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate: A track record of success in a sales role within the commercial vehicle industry. HGV experience particularly relevant but consideration will also be given to people with light commercial, body conversion, trailer or other chassis-mounted product experience. An ability to work in a territory based capacity. Prospecting, new business and account management skills. An ability to take on learning around a new technical product within a short time frame. Whilst this is a field-based role, access will be required on an occasional basis to their West Midlands based head office. On offer for the successful candidate is a basic salary of circa £35,000 (neg) uncapped commission based on sales performance car.
