We are looking for ambitious people with a strong procurement or supplier management background to join our team to help build on our success and deliver an improved service for our stakeholders and members. Key Accountabilities Define the balance between risk and innovation Implement innovation forums and create a Supplier Management community Build a model for Supplier Management resourcing requirements for all existing and new suppliers – ensuring this is reflected in Procurement processes. Define a clear handover from Procurement to Supplier Management, with RACI’s and templates in place. Support, design, and implement a strategic supplier management framework based upon business and supplier collaboration models. Develop the Supplier Management System functionality. Develop and manage key supplier account plan templates and strategies to include revenue targets, continuous cost and service improvement plans, issues, potential growth/change contractual and regulatory requirements, risk/reward and exit strategies Work in collaboration with the Procurement team with respect to the process for the management of strategic and preferred supplier relationships. Build and develop strong senior stakeholder relationships throughout Royal London. Become a trusted supplier management advisor through successful stakeholder engagement Skills and Experience Demonstrable experience in supplier management Very strong knowledge of commercial models and approaches/techniques necessary to achieve best in class supplier management. Proven ability to achieve substantial cost benefit. Proven negotiation skills and comprehensive knowledge of contract law. Essential Criteria Good analytical skills – a strong attention to detail and capability to see, assess and mitigate commercial risks. Strong planning and organisational skills to see project through to completion. Ability to build and maintain effective business relationships (internal and external) Experience in a role managing suppliers. Desirable Criteria Experience of building presentations and MI packs. Clear thinker, with proven commercial acumen and strategic focus. Ability to manage a variety of complex projects simultaneously.
