Commercial & Facilities Manager

Commercial & Facilities Manager Salary: £27,791 per annum FTE (£22,233 actual) Contract: Permanent Hours: 28 hours per week. Hours will include weekend and public holiday working Based: The Nature Discovery Centre, Thatcham We have an opportunity for a hands-on Commercial and Facilities Manager to ensure our commercial line is profitable and our building and facilities work is delivered to an exceptional standard. You will be responsible for income generation of our Lakeside shop, developing new retail lines and promoting new stock. With your facilities hat on, you’ll be responsible for managing our buildings and facilities at the centre and across other local reserves to a high standard of presentation and conservation. You will lead work to ensure our security, fire, environmental and health and safety compliance is achieved and that our visitor experience is the highest priority. The ideal candidate will be competent at banking and financial management to support all our trading operations at the centre. As a champion of exceptional visitor experiences, you’ll join a high performing team and will regularly (working up to 1 in 4 weekends and occasional bank holidays) be involved in the duty management rota helping run the visitor centre. The Berks, Bucks & Oxon Wildlife Trust is a membership-based voluntary organisation, managing over 80 nature reserves, influencing land management and educating and encouraging all sectors of the community to care for local wildlife.
