Overview

THE COMPANY: Brewster Partners Recruitment Group are working with a Grimsby based manufacturing business who supply a range of products into the oil and gas market as they look to recruit a Regional Sales Manager due to internal promotion within the team. The position will be based in Grimsby but covering the Africa region and will require some sporadic overseas travel. THE JOB: The main purpose of this role will be to promote sales of the company's products and services throughout the Africa region in order to meet company targets for order intake, profitability and growth The duties and responsibilities of this role will include: Appoint, train, motivate and develop a network of local agents in the defined sales region. Ensure sales of the company's products meet or exceed planned levels. Develop opportunities for key account retention. Report on competitor activity and to maintain a thorough knowledge of the market. Seek new business opportunities with new and existing companies, including the identification of new product applications. Develop a sound understanding of regional, cultural and social requirements in the region to help establish and maintain good business relationships and to increase customer loyalty. Promote the company image and reputation within the market with the use of appropriate marketing tools. Provide pricing instructions for all products as required for quotation purposes. Undertake regular visits to the defined territory. Provide accurate order intake forecasts to the Global Sales Manager Marine and LNG. Produce and maintain a comprehensive list of all potential customers and their locations within the territory. Identify and recommend any cost saving initiatives when carrying out normal business activities THE PERSON: The business are looking for someone who has: Experience within an export sales environment Educated to degree level or equivalent Someone able to work to tight deadlines A good communicator at all levels, both internally and with customers.
