Overview
Our client, a forward-thinking, fast-growing and financially stable law firm based in Birmingham is looking for a talented IP Partner to join their successful TMT practice. In this key role, you will focus primarily on contentious IP matters, covering both soft and IP disputes work although there is scope to handle non-contentious and advisory IP. The firm's IP practise covers all aspects of intellectual property such as patents, designs, copyright, trademarks, databases, passing off, parallel importing, anti-counterfeiting, confidentiality, and media. Ideally, you will have gained experience in a City firm or large regional practice or other leading IP practice with proven technical legal skills and a commercial, client-led approach. A minimum of 5 years pqe is expected to be required for this position given its seniority as well as strong client development skills and a commercial approach to business. The firm would be keen to speak to existing IP partners looking for a stronger platform with more autonomy and licence to build your practice, or senior lawyers looking for a first partner role.
