Overview
My client are a prestigious banking name with a credit rating of AA-, based in Knightsbridge. They are seeking an Arabic speaking Relationship Manager to join their Private Banking team. Please note this is a certified role under the Senior Managers and Certification Regime. Job Purpose You will be RM for private clients to generate income/profit by maximising sales from new and existing private customers of the Bank by achieving/exceeding individual sales performance and referral targets through providing excellent service. Key Responsibilities: Manage a portfolio of private banking customers. Conduct service reviews/ interviews and maintain proactive and timely contact, identifying customer needs and priorities to ensure they are always offered excellent service, cross selling where appropriate. This will include where appropriate, preparation of financing reports to the appropriate unit. Prepare relevant documentation to adhere to all standards, both legal and regulatory, to avoid exposing the business to undue risk. This includes the Bank’s guidelines on Customer Acceptance, Data Protection Act, Anti Money Laundering and KYC undertaking Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) on all applicants that are deemed either high risk and/or Politically Exposed Person(s) (PEPs). Prepare and submit quality credit proposals for sanction by the Credit Risk team. Liaise and collaborate with other internal departments such us payment processing, compliance, etc. or escalate if appropriate, in order to resolve customer enquiries and requests and comply with internal operating procedures and regulatory requirements. Develop and implement effective plans to support the achievement of stretching income, sales and service targets. Regularly review progress against targets focusing on retention and new business acquisition. Proactively build excellent relationships across all channels and other relevant internal businesses to ensure high levels of service are maintained for private customers. Use experience and knowledge to help clients arrange and manage their finances whilst showing appreciation for their lifestyle and financial priorities and respecting their culture and traditions. Work closely with our parent bank to aid client communications, account opening, payment transfers and other administrative processes such as undertaking EDD when on-boarding new clients. Work in partnership with relevant channels to provide feedback on leads and opportunities. Identify associated training and development needs. Maintain an excellent level of banking product knowledge and market awareness within the private banking sector in order to assist in the development of new products and services. Assist with change management initiatives. Promote our brand with all stakeholders. Periodic/annual customer accounts reviews and undertake any required remediation in order to comply with KYC & AML regulations. Deliver one off activities and projects to the outcomes and standards agreed with line manager Requirements 3-5 years of relationship management experience within the Private Banking sector Speak Arabic fluently. Ideally hold a CISI Compensation Package: We have been told that the role will be around a base salary of £60,000 p.a. but this can be open: Plus: Bonus (20% of salary) Private Healthcare 27 days holidays 6% Contributory Pension
