Having invested significantly in recent times, they are entering a period of growth and are recruiting a Sales Director to be the key driver and lead the growth plan THE ROLE : Will grow, lead and mentor the UK Sales team in a highly autonomous, hands on role to deliver exceptional performance levels across B2B and D2C channels during a period of planned growth. Use an in-depth understanding of all UK retail channels including major grocer, high street convenience/independent retailers and the discount/value sector to deliver a commercial growth strategy with full accountability for sales Will lead and mentor a team and utilise group commercial & operational resources to make the business more customer centric. Drive the sales team across a breadth of different channels with a vast product range With a target to double sales in the next 3 years you will be responsible for building a broader commercial team as the business grows. THE PERSON : Will have a proven track record growing sales in existing accounts within the UK discount/variety retail and ideally, experience in working with regional wholesalers and independent retailers You will have a track record of success in growing a multiple product business within the consumer sector. An inspirational leader able to translate wider corporate objectives into relevant strategies and action plans. Experience of an importing background and sourcing products internationally Experience of managing a diverse sales channels/teams from telesales, field sales to Channel Controllers. The ability to widen the commercial scope of the business will be a key attribute in this role.
