Commercial Key Account Manager Full time, Permanent position Based in Sheffield Job Summary The Key Account Manager position will principally support customers which are in a high growth, dynamic, and exciting environment. The position interacts internally with application engineers, inside sales representatives, operations, and marketing. This challenging position will support the management of various OEM customers Ideal candidate background This is a sales driven position so must be willing to travel 25%-50% Ideally hold a bachelor’s degree (significant industry experience could be considered as an alternative) Minimum of 5 years’ experience in manufacturing or aerospace industry, ideally in a commercial role Proficiency in use of Excel and PowerPoint Key objectives of the role: Rigorous pursuit of additional contractual business in line with the company’s growth targets with a nimbleness to react accordingly to market and business changes. Develop an in-depth understanding of the customer and market dynamics. Work tirelessly to address customer issues across all functions including operations, quality, commercial. Work in conjunction with Manufacturing and the business to offer solutions and services to existing and prospective customers. Develop an in-depth understanding of customer’s decision-making process and recommend/implement actions to obtain sales as a result. Take the lead in developing and executing an overall customer strategy for the business. Become familiar with S&OP systems and potential advantages as it relates to internal and external connections. Establish close relationships and linkages with all levels of customer purchasing, technical, engineering, programme and management personnel. He/she must be able to influence the outcome of quotations and proposals and collect useful competitive information. Ability to understand customer dynamics and decision makers to effectively sell products to meet the customer's needs.
