The Organisation This is a chance to join a leading specialist retailer and supplier of construction materials and clothing. This highly respected organisation is based in the South East. The Position As a key member of the Buying team, you will be responsible in the support of the development of a new and existing product range, along with Supplier Selection and control, Pricing, Promotions, all within an allocated business target. Working along side the Merchandising team, you will buy to agreed options and price plans, whilst forecasting of future demand and maximising profits minimizing markdown. Duties Understand and work to an agreed Range Review Critical Path process, whilst promoting a market leading and unbeatable consumer experience. Regularly review supplier performance and report analysis to the Buyer for action. Coordination of range selection, price architecture and brand representation. Support the Buyer through sales data, competitor ranging and price analysis to make reactive and proactive trading decisions on ranging, pricing and deal mechanics. Regularly review supplier performance and report analysis to the Buyer for action. Develop strong supplier relationships to secure the best commercial terms and ranges in the market. The Person Ideally experienced in a Buying role within a high street or retail environment Highly numerate with a strong analytical mindset Commercially astute, with the ability to demonstrate a positive contribution to the success of the category. Strong negotiator, both verbally and face to face. Interest in fitness and the outdoors. What’s on offer?
