Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Service Engineer to join a family-run business based in Leamington Spa . As a talented Service Engineer you will be responsible for carrying out services and repairs of machines in the workshop, ensuring a timely turn around of customers equipment and hire fleet. You will also be required to prepare new and used machines for sale and installation. Key responsibilities and duties: * Liaise with the Service Manager to schedule tasks to achieve deadlines efficiently * Ensure that all machine requested are DIFOT and that timely notification of any exception is made. * Complete service and repair work to restore machines to 'as new' cleaning performance * Complete relevant reports on Service Geeni including machine requests and service calls to enable accurate job costing and billing * Provide feedback of changes in site conditions or requirements Requirements The ideal candidate will have the following skills, attributes and qualifications.... * Strong engineering background * Experience of effective electro mechanical diagnosis and fault finding is essential * Experience of servicing / repairing forklifts or plant hire equipment would be desirable * Ability to work with low voltage (12 to 48V) power systems, IC engine systems and hydraulic systems. * NVQ level 2 Plant Maintenance / HND in Engineering qualification or similar. * Technically savvy and hands-on Benefits * Salary range of 28,000 to 32,000 per annum DOE * 20 days holiday + 8 days statutory * Additional service-linked holiday * Statutory pension scheme * Free onsite parking * Discretionary lunch is provided on completion of probation
