Overview

National Conference Sales Manager is a field-based position with travel between our Hemel Hempstead Support Centre and our 3 Resorts. Following 7 years of continued growth, Butlins Conference & Events are looking for a National Conference Sales Manager to continue our sales success and support our award-winning resort teams. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic proactive sales professional as we enter the next phase of our development. The key responsibilities of this role include: You will already a proven track record in driving revenue and achieving financial results within a large venue or multi-site operation along with experience of delivering exceptional service with a can-do attitude. You will have a black book of industry contacts that will enable you to hit the ground running and a tenacity and determination that ensures that you go the extra mile to ensure the smooth delivery and execution of every event. Your passion for the industry and creativity will set you apart and your ability to work in a fast paced, complex commercial environment will mean that you are able to prioritise and make decisions. The personal qualities recommended: • Enthusiastic, tenacious and proactive self-starter. Someone who can generate at least 6 quality appointments a week. • You will feel comfortable working alongside internal and external stakeholders and, based from home, will be a self-starter. • A hunter but someone who can also farm. (80% hunting new business, 20% farming existing clients). • A proven track record in driving revenue and achieving financial results in either a large (complex) venue or a multi-site operation. • A can-do attitude. Someone who isn’t afraid of a challenge but can move on. • Able to work in a fast paced, complex, commercial environment and can prioritise / make decisions. • Someone with exceptional attention to detail - from enquiry handling through to event delivery. • The flexibility to be handling an £80k enquiry one day and a £800k the next. • Excellent written, oral, numerical and interpersonal skills. • Experience of Priava would be good, but a transferable knowledge of Opera or Delphi would be acceptable.
