Regional Sales Manager - Southern Region Work from home Watsons Recruitment Limited have a fantastic opportunity for a Regional Sales Manager in the South of England (Northampton and down) with this unique wholesaler with a fantastic reputation in the industry who distributes their products to an established customer base. The company has grown in turnover in recent years by over £5 million and this position has become available due to retirement. The Role The Regional Sales Manager’s primary role is to positively manage the company’s relationships with its existing customers, ensuring the continuity but also, wherever possible, the growth of profitable sales to those customers. This will require exceptional interpersonal/nurturing skills, with the ability to relate to and communicate with a wide variety of people at different levels within a business, from shop floor to boardroom. The secondary role of the Regional Sales manager is to identify and develop profitable sales opportunities for the company, with new, creditworthy customers. This will require someone who is competitively inquisitive and with the skills to elicit information upon which properly informed and considered decisions can be made. The Regional Sales Manager’s role is 'home based’ and very largely autonomous and so requires a fully committed professional salesperson, prepared, within reason, to "go the extra distance". Essential Skills Required Experience selling technical products to suppliers to the construction industry or construction clients B2B or channel selling within the construction/building industry Ability to learn technical information quickly and be able to communicate that Relationship building skills Knowledge of the construction/building/architecture industry The Stay Factor - proven ability to stay at role and not "job hop" A self-starter who doesn’t need to be micromanaged The Candidates Candidates will be well-motivated self-starters with significant business to business experience and living within the region. Due to the nature of the role, CVs with experience in B2B such as window profile, window manufacture/fabrication or glass, window machinery or experience working with other suppliers to the construction industry will be prioritised.
