Overview
We are looking to fill an internal sales position at our fast-growing industrial welding and engineering distribution business at our Hitchin Head Office. The applicant will need to be highly motivated with a determined attitude to succeed. Good organisational and strong communication skills are a requirement and previous experience within the welding or engineering industry would be an advantage although not essential The role serves as the key contact point for receiving orders and enquiries from existing customers, new customers and private individuals. Sales office responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Co-ordinating all aspects of customers service for customers including receiving phoned and emailed orders, processing tickets, quotation generation and technical enquiries Liaising with the internal despatch team both pre and post shipment to ensure we are capable of meeting the delivery requirements of the customer Placing purchase orders and working with suppliers to ensure delivery times are met Advising and suggesting best product application to meet customer needs BUSE Industrial Gases, Trade Counter and Despatch responsibilities: You would be the main point of contact at the branch for BUSE Industrial Gases. This would involve working closely with our external sales team to quote customers and gain new gas business for the company, managing stock control and re-ordering levels, opening new accounts, helping to load vehicles with cylinders. Full training will be given Serving on the trade counter, occasional emergency deliveries when needed and helping in other departments of the business when required to help learn all aspect of our organisation Job Requirements: The ability to interact and communicate with customers professionally at all times Experience to working within a sales environment Knowledge of the metal working or industrial gas industry an advantage but not essential Excellent people skills and a motivated, proactive approach High level of drive to set the highest possible customers service levels The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines To be able to work using own initiative and be self-motivated Willingness to 'get stuck in’ - we are a small team and have to help each other Valid UK driving license Working knowledge of Sage, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook preferable To be flexible and a team player we Offer: Competitive rate of pay Ongoing Opportunities for development and career advancement Comprehensive training programs The opportunity to work in a creative, comfortable, progressive and fun environment The chance to progress into other areas of the business - staff have progressed into external sales, service engineer positions, van sales and also into management roles A rewarding career, not just a job, with a company who really value and look after their employees
