Overview
Trading Manager We are currently looking for a Trading Manager to join one of the UK’s leading suppliers within the food and produce market. This is an exciting vacancy for a Trading Manager to join our clients’ sales team just outside of Evesham. The postholder will report to the Senior Trading Managers and will support the daily trading of fruit to their wholesale customers. This is an opportunity for the Trading Manager to develop customer accounts to enable long term collaboration and sustainable growth within the business. Main duties and responsibilities: To maintain and build customer relationships at buyer level developing long term collaboration To negotiate customer pricing and tenders in line with the company margin aspiration and budget To communicate customer plans to the wider team To promote efficiency and encourage new ideas and better ways of working To provide commercial data for presentations and present during; customer meetings, internal period review meetings etc To provide a sales forecast enabling procurement and supply chain planning To understand and keep up to date with the UK Produce, Food Service & Wholesale market To undertake any other duty commensurate with the role General: Encourage & develop ideas to strengthen the overall business Encourage a "one team" approach and be ambitious, positive and encouraging on a daily basis About you You will be an ambitious individual seeking to carve a career for yourself in a fast-paced working environment with a passion for selling and delivering exceptional customer service. You will have effective verbal and written communication skills, ability to build and maintain customer relationships and have a proven track record in FMCG account management. You will have ability to negotiate within given guidelines and have a confident telephone manner You will also be able to work outside of conventional office hours. Hours: 7am - 4pm Monday - Friday weekend cover on a rota basis
