Overview
We are currently recruiting for a Trade Counter Salesperson for our Torquay based client. They offer excellent training, and a progressive environment. This role would suit a candidate who is an excellent communicator, and able to build natural rapports with people from all walks of life. You will be dealing with B2B, and B2C Sales, so must be versatile, and have the ability to tailor your approach. This is a permanent long-term opportunity. The business really looks after their team and has excellent retention. The salary on offer is excellent, and working hours are 7.30am - 5pm Monday to Friday. You are also required to work every other Saturday 8am - 12. You will be working in a team of 5 and will benefit from excellent product training. Experience wise candidates who have worked in DIY stores, building merchants, or have a knowledge of building or landscaping products, will find this is of benefit in this role. You will naturally absorb product info, and will have guidance too, but a foundation in this area would be very useful. We are looking for the right person to compliment this small and efficient team, a sense of humour is a must Duties will include - Trade counter sales. Dealing with customers over the phone and in person. Helping to maintain existing and develop new accounts. Making product recommendations, providing the customers with advice and helpful tips. Offering technical product advice. Offering excellent customer service, exceeding expectation where possible. B2B & B2C Sales. Stock counting. Liaison with suppliers. Ordering stock. Passing on leads to the sales team. Following up enquiries. Contributing to a positive working environment and keeping morale high. General admin & use of the internal system. We are looking for a hardworking, reliable and trustworthy candidate, with an excellent work ethic. A positive attitude is essential, so you compliment the team, and relate well to the customers. We want to find a candidate who is keen to lean their way of doing things and will be happy to take guidance and in-house training.
