Overview
A Technical Product Specialist is required for a consultative sales role at an expanding provider of cutting edge scientific and laboratory equipment. You will be covering the London region and expect a salary up to £45K plus car allowance and bonus. Working in Partnership with the UK’s leading Scientific Research institutes, Universities and Scientific companies. You will provide equipment solutions and achieve exceptional sales using technical knowledge of the product. Understanding the scientific requirements of your client is important to achieve this. Therefore, you will likely be a PhD, MSc educated with experience in the field of Biochemistry, Genetics, Molecular Biology, Biology or similar. Your duties will include: · Use all available resources (i.e. Social Media, Conference visits, Networking) to identify new prospects and attempt to turn those prospects into customers. · Collaborate with the management team to improve marketing materials and expand the company’s marketing presence in the North of England. · Attend industry trade shows to accumulate new leads and increase market coverage · Update client information in the company CRM (Salesforce) · Stay on top of industry trends · Identify potential opportunities for company growth · Carry out Demonstration of company products confidently to new and existing customers To join the business as a Product Specialist you will need to bring comprehensive scientific experience in Laboratory Instrumentation. A diverse range of scientific backgrounds will be considered, and training will be provided on the equipment sold by the business. We will consider MSc and PhD qualified applicants looking for a first role in Laboratory Equipment sales. BSc level applicants will ideally need current experience in a similar sales role. You will be able to travel frequently to attend site meetings to demonstrate product. You will be able to understand and consult with clients adding value to the sales process. You will diligent and supportive in your approach. Ensuring repeat sales and gaining market share and reputation.
