Overview
My client is a well established Roofing Contractors with an excellent reputation for quality and service They are looking to recruit a Branch Manager and the successful candidate will need roofing knowledge and merchant experience. SALARY £35-40K Duties are below: Devise and implement effective procedures for daily warehouse, yard and trade counter operations; Maximise the potential sales and profitability of the supply business, meeting or exceeding Company targets; Develop, implement and maintain appropriate marketing strategy, including branding and website; Work closely with Directors to recognise and develop or correct operational problems and or issues; Ensure systems are in place for credit accounts, including credit control activities (setting and enforcing payment terms, credit checking, etc); Ensure all sales invoicing and supplier payments are done in a timely manner; Direct and maintain receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing the Company's policies and procedures; Direct all incoming and outgoing material shipments and ensures that materials in the warehouse/yard are organised and maintained in an effective manner; Ensure inventory levels are adequate to meet customer needs; suggests inventory changes as appropriate and ensures accurate inventory control and record keeping; Manage movement and transfers of materials; spot check inventory on a regular basis; Organise and maintain the warehouse, yard and store layout for maximum efficiency and safe operations; Ensure that safe operational procedures are followed and the appropriate reporting is filed in a timely manner; Be directly responsible for the supervision, management, training and development of the CRS team; Monitor employee performance, complete evaluations as required and make appropriate recommendations for changes as required. Carry out other appropriate duties as assigned by your line manager.
