Overview

Wholesale Product Developer £50K Portsmouth 12-month Fixed Term Contract You will build and grow the wholesale business through targeted ranging both in the UK and Internationally. Responsibilities will include planning, developing, range building and buying of exclusive wholesale collections (all departments) meeting the requirements of specific partners, territories and platforms. Working closely with the Head of Global Partnerships and Wholesale and account teams in order to listen to wholesale customer requirements and build focussed and exclusive line and assortment plans which meet sales volumes, margin, channel strategy and merchandising requirements. You will follow product development from concept to landing final samples for wholesale. You will have a strong product eye. You are a team player who can make things happen & influence colleagues both internally and externally. Strong negotiation skills are a must with the confidence to drive the best results for the business. Role Accountabilities Product develop Wholesale ranges across all departments to showcase company DNA globally Select bestselling silhouettes & existing products to adapt into exclusive prints / colours & trims Work closely with Buying team to ensure cost prices are aligned with core company range & negotiated to hit department margin targets and wholesale partner intake margin requirements Research, develop and buy exclusive ranges across all departments for the company's wholesale customers Liaise daily with designers, buyers, merchandisers and account managers Manage the critical path to ensure products are delivered on time and to the correct specifications Place wholesale orders directly with supplier base and follow up daily developments and production status of all styles in a collection Ensure selling samples are landed in time to meet needs of show dates and seasonal selling windows - agree, plus sample management of wholesale ranges Undertake regular competitive reviews of product to gain extensive knowledge of the company's wholesale competitors Experience and Skills Previous experience in a similar role, developing wholesale ranges Effortlessly establishes outstanding relationships with others (customers, colleagues, suppliers) Gains clear agreement & commitment from others by persuading, convincing & negotiating Structures information & communications to meet the needs & knowledge level of the intended audience Creates brand appropriate innovative products or designs Consistently monitors performance against deadlines, targets & milestones
