Specification Sales Manager - Flooring & Interiors Job Title: Technical Sales Consultant - Flooring & Interiors Industry Sector: Architects, Interior Designers, Specifiers, End Users, Healthcare, Education, Social Housing, Housing Associations, Flooring Contractors and Flooring Distributors Areas to be covered: South West Remuneration: £35,000 up to £4,500 Commission Benefits: Fully Expensed Car & Full Benefits The role of the Specification Sales Manager Flooring Solutions will involve: Field sales position, selling our clients manufactured range of floor coverings including: safety flooring, resilient flooring (smooth), heterogeneous flooring (smooth) and LVT (luxury vinyl tile) 80-85% of your time winning specifications with architects & interior designers, but also other specifiers such as capital project teams within healthcare, education and social housing/ housing associations Remainder of your time managing the relationships with the substantial amount of flooring contractors and flooring distributors on the area (topping up shade cards within distribution trade counters, visiting complaints etc.) Inheriting an area with a circa £2.5m turnover, currently performing well against budget Majority of your time will be winning projects within existing relationships, there are a vast amount of customers on the area Perhaps only 15-20% of your time will be focused on new business/ new customer relationships Projects can vary in size from a small refurbishment of only £2,000 up to new build hospital which could be as much as £1m The ideal applicant will be a Specification Sales Manager Flooring Solutions with: A proven track record of specification field sales with architects and interior designers Ideally flooring products, but interior building products will be considered May also consider flooring field sales experience without specification experience Willing to listen and learn Preferably mouldable Consultative approach Ability to handle projects from inception right through to completion Fabric, wall coverings, flooring, partitioning, ceilings and other aesthetically pleasing interior products of interest Understanding of design, flair and creativity IT literate Specification sales driven not contractor/ distributor led The Company: Est. 100 years 300 Employees £130m turnover Family run Please contact Paul, Lee or Simon from Mitchell Maguire for an immediate interview.
