Overview

A Fantastic opportunity is available for a General Manager to join a Metal stockholder in Birmingham The role and responsibilities -Supervises all employees in Sales and Operations for the UK office which includes sales planning, warehouse, logistics and quality. -Held responsible to maintain all company policies and procedures. -Obtain profit contribution by managing staff and accomplishing business objectives, Manages the daily sales and bureau organisation and supervises the operations manager. -Standard Practices Supervises the UK service center which is responsible for Selling all company products and services consistent with the Business Plan. -Present a positive company and personal image with employees, customers and potential customers.Recommends sales strategies within the region. -Recommends inventory to support sales strategies, Obtains meaningful competitive information, Creates a close working relationship and liaison between management and customers -Maintain the highest degree of personal and business ethics. -Develop and insure productive working relationships inside the UK organisation and with other locations throughout the Company.- -Training: As Needed, will be provided.- -Development: Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of supply chain,business practices, major accounts, current and future business and all key personnel.Participate in sales and operations training programs. Read technical industry literature. To be considered for this role you must have management experience within speciality metals -Technical Skills: Sound working knowledge of speciality metals products and applications. -Ability to problem-solve and create a preference for the business products and services as base to grow the business in the UK and the by the UK served countries. -Strong sales and operational attitude. Must be able to define and execute strategies for a sales team and a coach for the operations manager. Fully learn our system in the area of responsibility. -A college degree or equivalent is recommended.- -Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communications. Must be able to direct communications towards specific objectives. Must effectively communicate with customers, employees, supervisors and peers within the Company.- -Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze and forecast the Region's current and future requirements and mesh with capabilities. -Must be able to engineer profitable orders on a consistent basis.
