About us We are currently recruiting for a Local Business Development Manager to join us at our Volkswagen Leeds dealership. About the Role As a Business Development Manager, you will use your prospecting, relationship and networking skills to promote the Volkswagen brand to the local business community and beyond. Based at Volkswagen Leeds, you will be part of a very successful divisional corporate team, whilst travelling to businesses in order to build local relationships and generate business. Within this role you will be responsible for growing and developing the Corporate and Local Business database and sell cars to this community. You will be selling Contract Hire and Leasing packages, as well as outright purchase transactions to the business community. You will be developing relationships and sell vehicles to new prospects, as well as maintaining existing business customers by renewing their existing vehicles with the brand. You will also consistently achieve budgeted new car and commercial vehicle volumes and franchise related targets, through prospecting and presenting our products & services to local businesses, as well as helping grow the aftersales business through the volume of corporate cars sold in each area. About You In order to be successful, you must have a proven track record of sales and performance, within a similar role. What you also need is unlimited confidence, resilience, drive, energy and talent. You will be well presented with a desire, character and attitude to succeed. You will have the ability to quickly establish and build rapport. You will also possess a clean driving licence and either be FCA approved or willing to be trained. If your application is successful, we will need to complete employment checks prior to you starting with us. For this role, these can include us verifying your recent employment, address and credit history. We may also conduct a criminal record check and a driving licence check.
