You will be financially backed by the business to deliver high volume sales to your customer base. The purpose of the role is to create sales activities, including creating meat specifications to maximise savings to the business; Working with Directors and Managers to create individual sales specifications. Provide expertise for the company providing advice and guidance to colleagues on sales activity. Work to provide an order book. To ensure compliance with the organization's credit approval policy and procedures. To be an expert resource to work with colleagues to achieve sales targets. Provide Directors and Management with high quality analysis and pipeline reporting process. Base working hours; Monday to Friday 07.00 - 16.00. The role will demand a flexible approach to deliver the needs of the business. Responsibilities will include; Understanding of production time and optimization to meet customer expectation Manage customer relationships and negotiations to ensure delivery schedules are met and quality standards are achieved, involving visits to customers. Play an integral part in ensuring that customers' expectations are met in full and on time. Manage the sourcing of new products against NPD projects or trial products and you will be integral within planning meetings to ensure stakeholders are aware of any customer issues. Report and present to the Directors monthly on sales strategy and general market. Work with Production to ensure Business Stock levels are achieved and maintained. Source new customers. Build and develop working relationships with sales team. Support Sales team with New product requests. Work within credit control guidelines to provide Management debt information. Additional Information AB&S Meats is a well-established Meat Business offering an experienced Meat Trader a great place to work. The role is supported by a full technical team including quality assurance and working within BRC and RTA framework, with all the marketing tools required. Essential Skills An experienced Meat Trader with a proven track record of delivering volume sales within a trading desk. Strong knowledge of product categories and have the ability to build long-lasting, strong relationships. Excellent relationship management skills. Be a self-starter and have the ability to work independently. Ability to develop good working relationship with managers in other areas of the business, and production and planning departments to deliver the common goals of the business in terms of profitability and provision of agreed service levels to customers. Proven experience of trading. Good communication skills. Excellent problem solving and negotiation skills. Sound knowledge of sales and supply chain in practice. The ability to work to tight deadlines. Attention to detail. A strong understanding of the meat industry. Computer literacy & experience of Sales Order Processing.
