Business Development Manager: Mechanical Engineering: Evesham Our client is a leader in next generation solutions which enable customers to overcome challenges in the metal forming, heavy duty suspension and industrial markets; they have an exciting and challenging career opportunity for a dynamic professional to join its team as a Business Development Manager. The right candidate should have a proven track record in generating profitable sales and capturing new business. He or she will be responsible for the growth, development and maintenance of new and existing customers. Core Responsibilities: Manage and grow assigned accounts through ongoing contact with customers and assigned leads. Drive awareness of product portfolio through digital presence and traditional customer site visits. Identify, follow up and secure current and future business, gain specifications for products & secure orders. Expand relevance at assigned accounts through bringing the breadth of solutions to solve their pains. This includes engaging customer to understand pains and strategic direction and developing solutions that bring high value to them. Responsible for documenting the business case, value proposition and supporting marketing to develop & share case studies. Drive sales effectiveness by effectively managing pricing and discounting. Develop value pricing models for products & services. Monitor and act to drive margin expansion within the territory and at strategic accounts. Develop and communicate strategic account plans and results. This includes developing account plans through research and networking that are aligned with business goals. Communication of account plans, agendas and results to gain organizational alignment, share best practices and gain feedback. Sustain strategic account plans through execution of standard work. Resolve customer complaints & obstacles to the sales process by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports and driving solutions back to the customer. Performs other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications: Minimum five years of sales experience and demonstrated success in technical sales and consultative problem solving with multiple value-added components and systems desired. Experience working in a QS900 and/or ISO 9000 and/or TS16949 environment. Impeccable integrity; superior interpersonal skills; able to communicate and engage personnel at all levels of the organization. Emotionally intelligent change agent who challenges the status quo and acts with a sense of urgency to drive results. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ability to understand and fluent in English and German written and verbal instructions and inquiries from customers. Ability to understand spring terminology and design, drawings, and specifications to effectively convey spring knowledge to customers. Strong analytical skills. Need to have the ability to make recommendations based on data analysis Strong PC aptitude in a Windows environment required; specifically Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, Power Point). Ability to learn other software packages. Education Requirements: Bachelor Degree required in engineering, business or related discipline, or equivalent country education. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
