TRAINEE HEADHUNTER (RECRUITMENT CONSULTANT - SALES POSITION) £30k OTE in the 1st year £50k OTE year two £100k OTE year three We have a young team of Sales professionals and offer a fun, motivated and cool sales office with music playing, darts board, friendly environment and good people to work alongside. Waterman Stern is a highly regarded and serious organisation in our professional endeavours, but we try to make the experience enjoyable for our staff with trips to the races, European holidays for top performing sales staff, high levels of commission and regular evenings out. Waterman Stern is a small boutique search firm working with fund managers (Private Equity firms, Hedge Funds and Investment Banks). We consult for prestigious city-based money managers by running search mandates for Traders and Investment Analysts. Our core business is placing individuals that invest money. Our clients each manage in the $billions. We are a research driven firm specialising in niche markets, taking a sophisticated approach to search and selection. We work on both a retained and contingent basis and assist clients in making senior appointments and mid-level investment hires. In this role you will shadow and work very closely as a no.2 to the head of the firm and 3 other employees. You will learn how the search industry operates, how financial markets operate and how to generate large fees from headhunting traders in the city. We are a small growing business with just 4 employees at present. What we are looking for: 1-5 years Sales or Agency Recruitment experience Someone with a great work ethic that is ambitious, and career-driven Great communication skills, close attention to detail, a quick learner An intellectually curious person, entrepreneurial, driven, tenacious Someone motivated by earnings who is competitive, energetic and fun to be around What would you do in this role: Support the head of the business to run targeted search mandates Assist in the development of market research documents Call, email and chase suitable individuals for relevant mandates Manage recruitment processes, arrange interviews, negotiate salaries Assist in the research of new markets and track changes in financial markets Learn how to develop new business and eventually run search mandates independently
