Overview

My well established client is looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to join their team. The role will involve relationship building with existing Mechanical Contractors. You will promote their products, obtaining projects both specified and design and build to quote the companies projects and ultimately negotiate and secure orders. Working 4 days in the field with one day (Mondays from home). Responsibilities: Develop and obtain strong business relationships with the Mechanical Consultants in the area Work closely with the consultant representative to follow projects from specification through to successful negotiation of the order Obtain the opportunity to quote design and build or convert competitor specifications to ultimately negotiate the project to order Develop strong business relationships through calling regularly on the data base and entertaining the appropriate personal through lunches, seminars and events Demonstrate the company's range of products and controls using supplied selling aids and presentation tools Follow up quotations to identify the successful contractors Achieve and exceed sales targets and call rates Achieve Key Performance targets to aid in the growth of the area Essential Attributes: Educated to O Level or similar standard having a minimum of 4 pass grades including English and Mathematics Must have heating and ventilation experience with mechanical contracts A proven history of Sales experience Must be confident to negotiate projects ranging from several thousand to several hundreds of thousands of pounds Must be open to trying new ideas as well as formulating own plans and strategies to achieve successful results Candidates with appropriate business qualifications would be preferred although not essential Must hold a current UK driving licence Salary 50K plus uncapped Commission ( average 14K on salary first year then up to 100K once relationships built) Company offer a good working environment, excellent benefits and career progression.
