Overview

My client is a growing and fast-paced Audio Visual installation and maintenance provider with customers all over the world, and projects throughout the UK and Europe. Established in 2015, the company has grown very quickly and currently has a team of 26 and growing. they have offices based in both Dorset and Central London. the team is made up of a mixture of sales, delivery and operational staff, all of whom work incredibly hard in their specific roles. The culture of the company results in a tremendous amount of team work to win projects and go on to deliver them successfully, and regularly get together as a group to celebrate achievements. Job purpose The Sales Consultant reports into the Head of Sales and will operate out of the Central London Office and be responsible for selling AV installations, solutions and developing new business across the UK and Europe. The Sales Consultant generates such business from leads originating from our Marketing team and is accountable for ensuring that they meet, if not exceed, targeted sales and gross profit KPIs. Key responsibilities Respond to leads provided by Marketing Department and further qualify these leads via phone and/or video call. Attend client meetings to obtain full brief and survey site across the UK and Europe, primarily covering London and the South East of England. Provide demonstrations of hardware solutions either at customers’ sites or at the Company offices. Achieve monthly gross profit margin targets. Establish a very clear understanding of budget by utilising knowledge of the Company’s products and prices to achieve profitable sales margins. Identify, qualify and close new leads, including the second stage qualification of such leads to establish the prospective client’s budget, timescales and the associated decision makers. Produce accurate quotes and proposals, to include materials and professional services, with the support of Pre-Sales Team. Drive and maintain a sufficient pipeline of deals to ensure quarterly sales targets are met, if not exceeded. Ensure all opportunities are logged on our internal CRM and all relevant opportunities are registered with key vendors Provide monthly sales forecasting and visibility into sales activity. Prepare handover packs to be passed into the project delivery teams. The role requires regular travel across the UK and Europe along with occasional overnight stays. Technical competencies Strong AV sales experience into end users, either in an account management or business development role In depth knowledge of and demonstrable experience with the sales process, excelling at lead generation, relationship building and closing deals. Ability to obtain clear technical briefs from prospective clients and translate these into workable, cost effective and profitable solutions that our customers can understand. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Robust product knowledge of installed AV solutions. Proven track record of meeting and exceeding challenging targets and KPIs. Exceptional sales presentation skills and prior experience in product demonstrations of hardware and/or software. Previous experience successfully leading and managing Sales teams, ideally from a similar industry. Confident in managing and inputting data into CRM systems, such as HubSpot, ConnectWise or similar.
