ERP Sales Consultant

Cathcart Associates ,
Glasgow, City of Glasgow
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £60,000 per annum

Overview

I am helping out a growing ERP software company who are on the lookout for an ERP Sales specialist , to be based in Scotland. The company: They are a UK company and have offices in both Ireland and England, with reach across the UK. They have been going for over 25 years and have a couple of new products that they feel are really going to penetrate the market - hence the need for growth. They are looking at adding an additional 40 people to the company over the next 12 months, which is a fair increase considering they currently have around 160. They create a number of niche ERP systems and their clients range from small and boutique organisation to SMEs - they have software to suit them all. Focused on the construction and retail industry, they have identified Scotland as an area they really feel they can penetrate and make a mark. The systems are very much customisable and many of their clients (over 2,000) have moved away from the more standard SAP, Dynamics, SAGE ERP systems and started working with this organisation. The company operate in a very modern working environment and appreciate that work/life balance is key. They provide very flexible working as well as an autonomous work environment - the more work you put in, the more you will get out. They also are offering a great overall package, including a salary up to £80,000 plus commission on top (expecting £100,000 plus in first year). The role: You will be responsible for sales across the whole of Scotland as well as the North of England. Although a sales role, you will need to have a solid understanding of ERP systems and will sometimes go as far as providing demonstrations to customers (you can be experienced in sales across any ERP system). In saying this, the company will give you ample time to learn the product and get up to speed - they don't expect you to totally hit the ground running. This is a technical sales role and you will eventually need to have a strong understanding of the ERP software. There will not always be a pre-sales specialist with you onsite, hence the need for the strong knowledge of the system. Initially you will get the opportunity to shadow other consultants and will be allowed the time to learn and pick things up. This is also not an office-based role, so there is clearly a large travel aspect. Key skills and experience required: A good few years of ERP Sales experience (Dynamics, JDE, Sage, SAP, Oracle etc) Develop and maintain a high level of knowledge about the organisations' products and services Develop and maintain an understanding of the territory, marketplace, competitive offerings and other business issues relevant to the position Document daily sales activities in internal CRM system, prepare accurate reports and forecasts, manage pipeline This is clearly a role with huge potential and the possibility to work with a very forward thinking organisation.
