Laboratory Sales Representative Bedford Permanent, Full Time Salary £20,000 - £25,000 DOE We have a great opportunity for a talented Laboratory Sales Representative to join our client based in Bedford. You will be working as part of the Sales Team to deliver growth in existing business areas, as well as developing new business opportunities and new clients. If you’re looking for a change get in touch today As an experienced sales person you’ll be familiar with your typical responsibilities – such as identifying opportunities, liaising with clients to understand their needs and how you can help them; preparing quotes, which you’ll deliver in a timely manner and follow up on to ensure we’re meeting their requirements. You’ll manage your day talking with clients, either on the phone or face to face when practical. You’ll liaise with the laboratory team to ensure our quotes are accurate and our client’s needs can be met. In your role you’ll support the Business Development Manager with market facing activities, tender responses and other tasks as needed - from time to time you’ll represent the company at industry networking events and conferences, this may involve some travel. Some day to day Tasks / Responsibilities: You’ll be the point of contact for incoming sales enquiries from clients, you’ll respond in a timely manner to ensure we maintain high levels of service and client satisfaction. You’ll ensure you clearly understand what the client needs; you’ll liaise with laboratory staff to ensure these needs can be met, and then you’ll prepare a quote. You’ll identify opportunities with new and existing clients and make calls to develop new quotes. You’ll nurture our client relationships to ensure ongoing opportunities are realised and the cost of sales is minimised. You’ll be diligent in using the systems and tools we have in place such as our Laboratory Management System , Client Relationship Management. Work closely with marketing to develop lead generation campaigns and supporting content that highlights our value proposition and distinguishes us from our competitors. You’ll offer logistical support to clients, e.g. providing sampling materials and arranging transport, including completing the necessary regulatory paperwork. You’ll ensure all activities are carried out in line with existing policies and procedures, and all quality documentation is adhered to and maintained. About you: - Previous experience working in a sales role. - Chemistry Degree or Chemistry A Level - preferable - Science Degree or Science Background - preferable - Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrable ability to effectively communicate at various levels within organisations. - Excellent communication skills including telephone manner. - Experience of working in a fast-paced environment, and an ability to manage multiple competing priorities What they offer you: You will be provided with a flexible, friendly and creative environment to challenge and develop your skills.
