Field Sales Canvasser - Perm role - £17k (OTE 23k) - Company car - Greater Belfast/ East Down territories Your new company The largest gas distribution business in Northern Ireland Your new role Working Hours: 37 (This role requires flexibility in working hours. You must be able to work 4 evenings per week between Monday and Thursday, working no later than 7.00pm) Job Purpose: To add value to the business by supporting the growth objectives of the domestic sales team through the generation of new sales leads primarily via canvassing activities in the East Down and Greater Belfast licence areas. To identify alternative opportunities where we can engage positively with perspective customers. Key Accountabilities: Conduct field canvassing activities in line with departmental requirements Engage professionally with members of the public and talk knowledgeably about the benefits of natural gas To persuade unconnected householders to consider the benefits of natural gas and progress any enquiries by registering interest in our services To carry out all duties compliantly and in line with training offered to include full use of sales scripts and relevant statements Canvassers must have an ability to answer questions posed to them and understand how to overcome initial householder apathy There will be occasional need to attend specific industry events to represent the company and promote the benefits of natural gas Canvassers will be required to keep their appearance neat and professional at all times. What you'll need to succeed Full valid UK driving licence A minimum of 3 years' experience working in a customer facing role Excellent communication, negotiation and persuasion skills Positive and enthusiastic attitude Self-motivated Proficient IT skills to include the use of Microsoft programmes such as Word, Excel & Outlook Strong administration skills What you'll get in return Company car Free onsite parking Commission (OTE 23k) What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
