ISS Market Intelligence (ISS MI) provides critical and proprietary data, business intelligence, information services and marketing solutions to the global investment management industry. ISS MI delivers full-service solutions to the asset management sector worldwide, including investment flow data, advisor sales analysis, in-depth research, analytics, editorial content and events for investment managers, asset owners and custodians, plus Transaction Cost Measurement of over 500 million trades per month. Our clients include over 1,000 of the most prominent names in the asset management industry, including 83 of the worlds' 100 largest fund managers. Reporting to the Test Manager, the Quality Engineer works in a small team of testers within the Quality Assurance Team on all stages of the software development lifecycle. The QA Engineer works closely with Test Manager, Product and Project Managers, Development and Business Stakeholders to deliver product and project releases. This role will be primarily based in our Wokingham office, there is a requirement to work from our Head Office in London once a week to attend face to face meetings with colleagues as required. + Analyse new and changed functionality to create detailed and comprehensive test plans, test cases and test scripts using agreed standards and processes + Proactively liaise with subject matter experts to derive precise and detailed testing expected outcomes + Execute manual testing, record test results accurately within specified project timeframes + Document and record defects or problems, tracking status of defects, and verifying resolution during the testing lifecycle + Escalate issues to the Test Manager and Project Team + Perform functional, database, integration and regression testing as required + Develop and maintain documentation relating to QA practices + Good understanding of relational databases a solid knowledge of SQL + Be comfortable working with spreadsheets and large data sets + Experienced test analyst with strong hands-on manual testing experience + Experience of functional, non-functional, system, integration and regression testing + Thorough understanding of formalised QA processes and concepts including various testing methodologies + Undergraduate degree in Computing/Information Technology or equivalent + Experience of automation; creating and running automated frameworks in Test Complete + Experience automating cross browser testing and using Cross Browser Tool Skills + Excellent verbal and written communication skills + Have a positive mindset and be able to make an effective contribution to team tasks and team spirit + Be resilient and work well in a performance based fast paced business + Have a strong analytical mind, excellent attention to detail and be able to absorb complex technical information quickly + Possess strong problem-solving skills, be flexible and able to adapt to changing project priorities + Good understanding of relational databases a solid knowledge of SQL + Be comfortable working with spreadsheets and large data sets #L1-CT12 ID: 2020-2993 External Company Name: Institutional Shareholder Services Inc External Company URL: www.issgovernance.com Street: Suite A, Ground Floor, Trinity Court
