We are currently supporting an innovative, well-established SME who are actively seeking an experienced Project director who specialises within Education D&B to join their existing Sales team based in Leighton Buzzard or Central London. The main purpose of the role is to act as the Client's main point of contact during the sales process, providing direction and strategy to ensure the successful close of sales opportunities whilst delivering and exceeding key target areas. Requirements * To work hand in hand with the BDM team to help and assist them to generate leads for potential sales opportunities. * To undertake appropriate 'networking' activity within and across the industry to identify potential sales opportunities. * Undertake introductory meeting with the client in order to ask discovery and situational questions to determine the exact requirements including key drivers and success criteria. * Ensuring that all potential sales opportunities are properly qualified and to use this process to determine a bid/no bid decision. * Relaying the clients detailed requirement back to the Pre-Contracts and design team and organizing the Project Kick Off meeting. * To be responsible for the creation of the sales strategy * Responsible for the coordination and updating of the internal resources in order to meet the client's objectives and deadlines. * Key point of liaison for communication to the client and to ensure that all follow up actions/activities are completed in a timely manner and to the highest quality. * Ensuring that the proposed solution and service meet and/or exceed the client stated requirements and success criteria. * Presenting the solution and design scheme to the client and overcoming any objections. * To lead on any required negotiations and to successfully close the sale. * Feedback to the management team regarding market trends and new ideas to help the company continuously improve. * Ability to meet and exceed stated targets including GP%. * To ensure the accuracy and timely update of the CRM platform. * To attend and participate in the weekly sales meeting and daily sales huddle to move the whole team forwards * To attend a bi-weekly sales drill down meeting with the Managing Director to strategies on key opportunities * To attend additional team meetings as required by the business The ideal candidate will have the following skills, attributes and qualifications... * Experienced working within a fit out business or experience selling a service into the educational sector. * A self-driven, self-starter and positive personality combined with a 'can do' upbeat attitude. * Outstanding team player who constantly demonstrates a collaborative and inclusive approach. * Has strong personal discipline, good time management, has an ability to priorities and to coordinate work load. * Able to demonstrate the highest levels of personal and professional integrity and honesty. * Action orientated. * Outstanding people and communication skills. * Excellent questioning and listening strengths. * To have a strong sense of curiosity and creative thinking. * To have a strong sense of resilience and the ability to deal with customer rejection. * Excellent customer relationship skills and a passion for customer service. * Ability to build professional relationships that are based on trust. * Strong leadership strengths and ability to bring together and direct a multi-functional team. * Ability to professionally and constructively challenge as and when required. Benefits * Salary of 60,000 - 70,000 per annum DOE * Bonus of up to 10k * Car allowance * Monday - Friday 07:30 - 16:30 * Free lunch provided * Healthcare provided * Standard pensions
